Planned solar-powered bike stations across Bethlehem, PA. Ride from any station to any other.
- Serves: riders without a car, on low incomes or with disabilities.
- Bikes: about half e-bikes, plus regular, adaptive and cargo. E-scooters only where state and local rules allow; may start later.
- Stations: about 120 planned, at every park and beside planned Bethlehem Connect bus stops (a separate independent plan). Each needs the landowner's agreement.
- Privacy: trip data is aggregated, never sold. Any later rider app is opt-in.
- Safety: licensed electricians do all electrical work. Batteries and chargers must meet fire and electrical codes. Every site needs fire-marshal review and an ADA-accessible route.
- Phases: a 6–10 station pilot, then Bethlehem-wide, then other Pennsylvania towns.
- Approach: buy proven bike-share technology; build only what's missing.
